|
Paul, an artist from early childhood, attended a performing arts high school in Dallas, Texas, where he specialized in Motion Picture Production and Directing and Design for theatre. During college, Paul was a tireless director, often juggling several projects simultaneously. With a classmate, he began an experimental theatre and improvisation group, Without A Box, which still exists to this day. In 1990, Paul received his BFA in Directing and Design for Theatre from Pomona College, one of the highly respected Claremont Colleges. Paul briefly designed costumes, sets, and lighting for local theaters in Dallas before joining the crew of Oliver Stone’s film, JFK, as an Art Department assistant. That experience convinced Paul to leave theatre and pursue a film career, which has now spanned twelve years and more than twenty feature projects. Paul has been involved with a number of noteworthy independent film projects, including Stonewall and I Shot Andy Warhol, both produced by Christine Vachon. Paul’s relationship with Sneak Preview Entertainment has lasted through three productions, FastSofa, Circuit, and Sex & Violence- for which he served as co-producer. |
