As practicing physician for twenty-five years, Michael always had a keen interest in the entertainment industry. In college the theater was always a passion, dancing in Guys and Dolls, Oklahoma, Pajama Gameand West Side Story. Prior to medical school he obtained a Bachelors and Masters of Science Degree and postgraduate degrees in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology. During his practicing years he continued to dabble in the arts by using show business benefits to raise millions of dollars for various AIDS charities. As a long time personal friend and physician of Elizabeth Taylor, his fund raising activities stretched from Hollywood to Broadway. He was the Medical Advisor (with creative input) on the groundbreaking first AIDS television movie, “An Early Frost.” After retiring from medicine Michael decided to pursue his lifelong desire to reenter the creative arts by investing in the highly acclaimed feature film “Relax, It’s Just Sex” and uproarious stage production of “Howard Crabtree’s When Pig’s Fly.” |
